My teaching philosophy, in a few sentences:
- Students learn journalism by doing journalism;
- My classroom is a newsroom, meaning my students are expected to show up for "work";
- Journalists need to impress upon their audiences the context of every story;
- The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution -- especially relating to Freedom of the Press -- is something not to be taken for granted.
